Honda CRF450R 2022
Product #HON-22-CRF450R
LAUNCH. HOLESHOT. VICTORY.
Any rider will use an advantage. Why not have them all? Our CRF450R ups the game. That’s what winning MXGP world championships is all about. Its aluminium beam frame saves weight and features a factory-rider rigidity balance, with steering geometry and suspension that shred turns. The engine delivers strong mid-range power and low-rpm torque, with even smoother throttle response from new ECU settings. The decompression system and hydraulic clutch add relentless tenacity. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) offers 3 modes of power management for ultimate rear wheel traction, while HRC Launch Control owns the first 100 metres. The aggressively minimal bodywork is slim, lightweight and easy to move around. Seizing the holeshot and building your lead has never been easier. Neither has the win.

IT'S YOUR TURN
Light. Very light. With a HRC-honed chassis balance and re-valved Showa suspension that deliver faster corner speeds to build quicker lap times lap, after lap. And an engine to drive you from nowhere to the red zone, with total control in your right hand.
Stronger. Smoother. Even more unstoppable.
There’s amazing power on tap from 5,000rpm up from the CRF450R’s 449.7cc 4V Unicam engine. And an even stronger, smoother low-rpm torque feel thanks to new mapping for the PGM-FI. The hydraulic clutch is built to handle the power and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) offers 3 modes of power management for ultimate rear wheel traction. HRC Launch Control owns the first 100 metres while the Engine Mode Select Button (EMSB) tailors output to conditions. Minimal bodywork is both aggressive and practical – it’s easy to move around and remove for maintenance. And just one small part of what makes the CRF450R the complete MX package.
Engine Mode Select Button (EMSB)
The EMSB alters the engine’s power and torque characteristics and three maps are available to suit riding conditions or rider preference: Mode 1 is the balanced, standard map, Mode 2 is smooth and Mode 3 aggressive.
HRC Launch Control
Developed with direct input from HRC’s racers, the 3-Level Launch Control gives options to make the best start possible – whether pro-level rider or beginner, and whatever the riding conditions.
Re-valved Showa suspension
To soak up hits, the Showa 49mm USD coil spring fork’s low-speed shim-stack now delivers firmer compression and rebound damping likewise – and for perfect balance between front and rear – the shock has more compression damping, all the way through.
Lightweight, tapered twin-spar frame
The aluminium twin-spar frame features tapered, narrow main tubes tuned with a rigidity balance that features 20% less lateral stiffness, to amp up every single aspect of your cornering performance. Both top and bottom yokes and swingarm are tuned to match. Steering geometry is razor sharp; ground clearance impressive.
